The American Society of Sanitary Engineering is pleased to invite members, guests and dedicated professionals of plumbing related industries to the 2010 ASSE Annual Meeting. This year's annual event will be held November 9th through the 13th at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.

Let's begin honestly ... a main concern in today's economy is cost; "I would love to attend, but I cannot afford it." Well folks, ASSE has heard your cries and has dramatically cut attendee expenses for the ASSE 2010 Annual Meeting: registration price has been cut by more than 60-percent, hotel expenses have been cut by 40-percent and flight prices to Las Vegas are the lowest in the country.

The American Society of Sanitary Engineering thanks you in advance for supporting the Society and attending the 2010 ASSE Annual Meeting. This event will be an affordable, enjoyable and educational ASSE experience ... and it's in Las Vegas.

There is plenty of history surrounding the city of Las Vegas. Vegas has a certain, time-tested way of doing things, but the city still continues to evolve, expand and introduce bigger, better and more progressive ways of doing business. The same can be said about the American Society of Sanitary Engineering. This year, the Society's 103rd Annual Meeting will continue to conduct business as usual; however, like the city of Las Vegas, ASSE will be evolving, expanding and introducing bigger, better and more progressive ways of doing business.

As part of the greatest Annual Meeting yet, ASSE will be unveiling four entirely new Professional Qualifications Standards for self contained breathing apparatus replenishment systems, firestop systems and smoke-limiting materials, green plumbing and mechanical systems, and high purity piping systems. Each of these standards is an example of ASSE's progressive expansion.

On the fourth day of the Annual Meeting, Friday, November 12, the 63rd E.J. Zimmer Technical Seminar will provide attendees with the most technically relevant information available in industries related to plumbing and ASSE. The focus of this year's seminar is "Plumbing in the 21st Century." Speakers of the seminar will educate attendees on many of the new and evolving technologies covered in our existing and developing professional qualifications standards; these topics may include med-gas, residential fire sprinklers, self contained breathing apparatus replenishment systems, firestop systems, high purity water piping systems, green and sustainable systems, and other exciting developments in plumbing related fields.

In conjunction with the Technical Seminar, the E.J. Zimmer Exhibition will be taking place in a showcase-room nearby. The E.J. Zimmer Exhibition will allow manufacturers of plumbing (or plumbing related) products to educate attendees about new technologies and products, as well as showcase their compliance to ASSE's standards. Because of ASSE's wide range of standards, this showcase will include a wide range of exhibitors from a wide range of plumbing related industries. With so much excitement surrounding this year's Exhibition and Annual Meeting, there is sure to be a great number of attendees and exhibitors.

When attendees are not out seeing what Las Vegas has to offer, they are encourage to attend all of ASSE's meetings to see and have a say in what the Society has to offer. All of ASSE's meetings are conducted in an open format, so everyone is welcome to not only attend, but to participate and let their voices be heard. The Seal Control Board, Product Standards Committee, Cross-Connection Control Technical Committee, Manufacturer's Advisory Committee, and the President's Liaison Committee are all integral and important components of the success and future of ASSE. Everyone is also encouraged to attend ASSE's Business Sessions and Board of Directors meetings; the American Society of Sanitary Engineering is a transparent organization and its members deserve to be included and kept aware of what is happening in their Society.

ASSE can continue to grow stronger only through the support and dedication of its members. ASSE is your organization and this is your Annual Meeting.
